After significant weight loss, loose skin often hangs around the whole lower torso. A body lift removes it in a single operation that wraps around the waist, lifting the abdomen, hips, buttocks and outer thighs together.

Expect to need help at home for the first week or two, drains for a period, and a compression garment. Most patients return to desk work at three to four weeks.

Your weight should be stable for six to twelve months, and you should be close to your goal, before surgery.
