A breast lift raises breasts that have dropped with age, pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight change. Loose skin is removed, the breast tissue is reshaped and the nipple is moved to a higher position. No implants are used; the result comes from your own tissue.

Over time the skin and supporting tissue of the breast stretch, and the breast settles lower on the chest. The nipple may point downward or sit below the breast fold. A lift corrects this by tightening the skin envelope and reshaping the tissue beneath it.
The incision pattern depends on how much lift you need. A small lift may use an incision around the areola only; a larger lift adds a vertical incision below it, and sometimes a short one along the breast fold. The areola can also be made smaller if you wish.
Because no implant is placed, the breast keeps its natural feel and your size stays close to what it is now. If you would like more fullness at the top of the breast, a lift can be combined with fat transfer from your own body.

A breast lift suits adults whose breasts have dropped or lost shape and who want a natural result without implants. At consultation Dr. Sood explains which lift pattern fits your anatomy.
If your question is not here, bring it to consultation. Nothing is too small to ask.
Ask Dr. SoodMost patients return to desk work in one to two weeks, wear a supportive bra for several weeks, and resume full exercise at about six weeks.
A lift lasts for many years. Pregnancy, weight change and aging continue to affect the breasts over time.
Many women can, because the nipple usually stays connected to the underlying tissue. Discuss future plans with Dr. Sood at consultation.
Around the areola, and for larger lifts, down the lower part of the breast and sometimes along the fold. Scars fade over twelve to eighteen months.
A lift changes position and shape, not size. Many patients look fuller because the tissue sits higher. For added volume without implants, a lift can be combined with fat transfer.
